Armed with knowledge gained from working with world renowned Chefs such as Emeril Lagasse and Thomas Boggs, Chef Calvin prepares the most tantalizing dishes.. You may know Chef Lipe’s reputation for excellence from his catering business known as Chef4Hire Catering. In addition to his very successful catering business, Chef Lipe opened Flare in late May of this year which was once the old Lookout 49 location. Angel Lipe, Calvin’s wife, handles the business end of both ventures and loves every minute of it. “It is hard sometimes but this is what Calvin and I have always wanted. This restaurant is a dream come true and we want each guest to feel special when they walk in our doors” said Angel. Being the Executive Manager is what Angel does best which is clearly evident in Flares orderly and prompt service.
The extensive new menu is made extra special by Chef Calvin’s unique pairing of flavors and style. Prices are nominal for lunch and very reasonable for dinner. When topping off your meal with a dessert consider having the Crème Brulee that will be flamed table side…it is extraordinary.
Angel chose to highlight the works of various artists throughout the restaurant and is currently featuring Victoria Hayward originals. Everything is available for sale, and you owe it to yourself to see the beautiful collection of paintings and pictures when you visit for lunch or dinner.
Private parties and receptions are a Flare specialty. An upstairs banquet room, comfortably seats 100 people. The staff and Chef will work with you to plan special events or make your next business meeting exceptional.
A Grand Opening Celebration is planned for sometime in July. You can keep up with all the special events at http://www.flarebarandgrill.com. Please call 228-831-2601 for reservations and information.
