When the Island Strikz and Village Sports Pub owners hired Mike Sealy as their new manager, they were anxious to make some big changes. When the former PBA athlete took over, the first thing he told the employees was that when a customer walks through that front door, they will be treated like a guest in your home. Everyone who visits the bowling alley and the Sports Pub has noticed that the atmosphere is light and happy, and the employees are extremely friendly and accommodating. Guests are greeted the minute they arrive, and everyone is guaranteed a grand ol time at Island Strikz. Impromptu lessons on bowling, proper shoe fitting, choosing the right ball, and correct gripping techniques are given upon request at no charge. Sealy said, “This is a place where we put the emphasis on the individual needs of each person who comes in. No matter their age, range of mobility or bowling prowess, we gladly offer any assistance we can, to make the guest’s experience more enjoyable. If someone needs help with learning the game, all they have to do is ask and someone here will run right over and give them a quick lesson. We also make it a point to offer daily specials, to help keep costs down during this stressful economic time.”
To better serve their customers, Island Strikz has added a Full Service Pro Shop where you can be fitted for your own ball. A trained technician will drill the holes and adjust them perfectly, while you wait. Special packages are available and you may order your own custom made ball as well!
