Anna Marie Sukmann is passionate about all things beautiful. She and her family have made a lifelong dream come true by doing what they love. Anna’s daughter, Ann Marie has a degree in Marketing and Management from Ole Miss that helps the business keep right on track in these tough economic times. Also, daughter Angela Heise has a Masters Degree in Education from William Carey University and teaches Art at St. Martin High School when she isn’t busy at the salon doing nails. Still another daughter, Mary Stokus moved to Orlando, Florida when her talents landed her a position as Director of Education for the United States for Tammy Taylor Nails. Owner, Anna Marie, holds a degree in Education & Psychology from the University of Southern Mississippi. Antonian is a bevy of educated ladies, using their special talents to make the world a little more beautiful.
Located at 14451 Dedeaux Road the October 1996 opening of Antonian Hair, Skin & Nails brought the family together in a place they call their second home. Prices have always been very reasonable and still are 14 years later. Many things have changed over the years but “all for the better”, says Anna. “We’ve hit a few economic rough patches but we’ve always kept our prices low and our focus is on the artistry of what we do. We were open only two weeks after Katrina and we were so thankful and busy! Our clients are number one with us, and no matter what life has thrown at us we stay true to our commitment to bring the best products to our clients.” Redkin is the choice for hair and Tammy Taylor products for nails.
IPL Light Therapy is used in the salon to rejuvenate the skin to erase fine lines and wrinkles. “Sculptured nails are one of our specialties as is Microdermabrasion for the skin. Clients really like to showcase their best features and we try to give them specialized consultations to help them shine in every way. This time of year we have many requests for ‘football themed’ nail art and we gladly comply,” Anna said.  A large part of the business is devoted to All-in-One Packages for weddings, proms, anniversaries and lots of other special occasions. They even have head-to-toe packages available for men and kids!  Anna added,“We love to assist entire wedding parties with makeup, hair, skin and nail color matching for effects ranging from soft and demure to bold and dramatic. Even the flower girls enjoy having their tiny little nails painted and pampered!”
Antonian will be happy to make an appointment for whatever your needs are but they also accept walk-ins. Another reason to visit this particular salon is for the great specials and giveaways going on the 12th thru the 16th of October in celebration of their 14th anniversary. There are door prizes, grab bags, gift certificate specials (think early Christmas shopping!) and a drawing for a Head-to-Toe Makeover. To be eligible to win the makeover you MUST enter before noon on Saturday the 16th!
October 12th thru 16th is also a great time to save on the retail items found at Antonian. 20% off retail! The shop carries jewelry, hair accessories and even semi-permanent lip color from California. If you are interested in cutting your long hair and donating the pony tail to Pink Heart Funds, the stylists will carefully cut your long locks so that they can be made into beautiful wigs for cancer patients. (8” or longer please).
Since the family opened the salon, they have been avid supporters of many local charities and high schools. To find out how you can help them support these deserving groups or to make an appointment for yourself in the salon, please call 228-832-2875
