Month: April 2011

Our beautiful Gulf Coast is so alive. People are out and about, enjoying the the wonderful color and pageantry of the season. I particularly marvel at the magnificent oaks along Hwy 90, and how they have healed from the ravages of Katrina. These giants are truly symbols of the strength and character that is South Mississippi.
Our April Mover and Shaker is the esteemed Mayor of Gulfport, Mr. George Schloegel.  Read about this local leader who is making big changes in city government, and plans to take Gulfport further than it’s ever been before.
The Gulfport Music Festival will bring the superstars of Pop, Country, and R & B together for two spectacular nights of non stop hits. Beautiful downtown Gulfport will be the place to be for all the festivities and fun. GTP will tell you all about this premiere event, suitable for the entire family.
Nancy’s Celebrity Chat is back for a one-on-one with the drummer of Train, Scott Underwood. Scott reveals the whole story behind Train’s 3 year absence from the music biz.
We will take you for a holiday at Daytona Beach, Florida and also visit back stage with the cast of  Cirque Du Soliel Alegria!
