Shaggy’s Waterfront Bar & Grill in Biloxi THE place to be for great food, balmy breezes and a picture perfect atmosphere. Whether you choose to sit on the beach-front patio or inside the open and airy dining room, you’ll find the same summer loving feeling that’s coveted by vacationers and locals alike. Shaggy’s Biloxi has been elevating sun worshippers dining experiences for just over a year now and is gearing up for another fun-filled autumn. During the 1st birthday of Shaggy’s Biloxi Beach the kids enjoyed complimentary face painting, snow-cones and family fun.
The open-air restaurant sports views of the Mississippi Sound and Biloxi’s white sand beaches. Marketing Manager, Victoria Raskett, loves that guests can enjoy watching all the coverage of NFL and college football games with friends. It’s the place to go for great themed food and drink specials, giveaways and a relaxing atmosphere. They also have Happy Hour Monday through Thursday from 3 to 6 p.m. with daily specials.
Family friendly and full of life, Shaggy’s employees say that every day is a vacation in this casual hangout. You can walk right out onto the beach from Shaggy’s patio and then come back to cool off with a frozen drink. Kids love the meals that are served on a brand new Frisbee that they get to take home as a souvenir. If kids make a “happy plate”, they receive a free Cookie Monster dessert! Area Kitchen Manager, Nick Fawal, keeps his kitchen staff working hard at all four Shaggy’s locations to insure that the consistency and quality remain at the highest levels.
President and Co-founder, Ron Ladner, opened the original Shaggy’s in Pass Christian harbor 5 years ago and now has restaurants in Orange Beach, Alabama and Pensacola Beach, Florida. All locations are open every day 11 a.m. until. In the Pass Harbor, guests can rent out the down stairs area for private parties that can accommodate up to 100 people.
Biloxi’s Chef Mandi Buck serves the freshest Gulf Safe seafood and smoked meats every day. Try the Seafood platter or Chef Aimee’s Crab Cakes if you need seafood fix that satisfies. Biloxi General Manager, Matt Alnutt, says that guest love the Eggplant St. Shaggy and the “Big Pig” pulled pork sandwich. “There is an ease of dining because the kitchen and front of the house staff is so accommodating. If you have special needs or requests just ask us,” Alnutt said. The vibrant servers can tell you about the daily food specials. One local secret is the “Ocean Fever” that has grilled oysters covered in cheddar and jack cheeses with a fried shrimp on top. YUM!

“Shaggy’s Kids Foundation is dedicated to helping the youth of our community and providing them with positive activities,” Ladner said. The foundation offers financial assistance to children through summer marine camps and other learning activities. They also work with other organizations such as the Boys and Girls Clubs to help out where needed.
