Christmas on the ‘Bouffa Lighted boat parade and Christmas Party

biloxi0What coastal Christmas would be complete without fresh seafood, boats decorated with lights and good friends sharing good times? Bring a smile to the faces of local veterans this Christmas by being a part of one of the coasts most anticipated parties of the year.

Your Mama’z House has teamed with Crusaders for Veterans, a 501c3 organization, to bring you the 3rd Annual Christmas on the ‘Bouffa (short for the Tchoutacabouffa River) lighted boat Parade and Christmas Party @ 5 p.m. on Saturday, December 21st.

There will be raffles to enter and door prizes to be won. There is also a 50/50 drawing, drink specials and prizes for the best decorated boat.

If you would like to enter your boat in the parade, it’s easier than you may think. Just contact the management of Your Mama’z House to preregister, pay a nominal fee of just $25 then decorate your vessel, ice down at the dock and shove off! Mama’z deep water launch is right for almost any size boat. Final preregistration will be at the Captains Party on Thursday, December 19th at 6 p.m.

Families will have a blast watching the lighted boats as live music plays. Let young and old participate in decorating the Christmas tree at Your Mama’z House by bringing a personal ornament in memory of a loved one.

Save your appetites for when you settle down at one of Mama’z many indoor or outdoor tables. Menu selections go FAR beyond the typical “bar food” you may expect. Fresh Gulf Seafood and Mississippi pond-raised catfish accompany juicy homemade burgers and fresh, hand-cut fries. The chicken tenders at Mama’z are not the frozen strips you may get other places. Nope! The chef prepares them with fresh chicken breasts hand breaded and fried to perfection. The salads are bright and crunchy with toppings to please even the most health conscience client.

Top off your evening with a delightful frozen daiquiri in your choice of many flavors as you challenge your friends to a game of darts.

If you like to chill in front of the “boob tube”, Mama’z has you covered there too! Sundays are for Saints games and owner, Patricia Valestro and her daughter, Andrea love it so much when the Saints score a touchdown that they have told the staff to pass out free jello shots for every TD the Saints make!

The Mama’z ambiance is laid back, casual, river living at its best. You can book private parties and have the chefs cater all your food with just a phone call. The party area holds up to 200 people and guests can arrive by car, truck, boat or bike.

One of the best deals on the coast is Mama’z luncheon specials Wednesday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. For example, on Fridays for only $8.50 you can get either Fried Shrimp or Fried Catfish with hand-cut fries, hushpuppies, iced tea and dessert!

Mama’z is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays during the winter but opens Wednesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. until. For more information please call 228-392-0454. Your Mama’z House is located at 12056 Cedar Lake Road in Biloxi just one mile north of I-10 exit 44.

There’s no cover for the Christmas party and boat parade. And remember, the proceeds will benefit Crusaders for Veterans. So, grab your red and green, bring your camera and rock on over to Your Mama’z House as you enjoy this Christmas season!
