4th Annual Inktoberfest Tattoo Convention

Inktoberfest-Tattoo-Convention-2014Adrenaline Tattoo has done it again! By bringing some of the world’s most renowned talent to the Mississippi Gulf Coast, Aaron Antonucci and the other fine folks at Adrenaline Tattoo are poised to make this year’s festival one to remember. You will meet tattoo aficionados like Robert LaSardo of CSI: Miami and featured artists Clint Cummings and Ally Lee of Ink Masters as well as Bob Elmore, TJ Hall, Ink Father and Earl Noble. This is the only place on the Mississippi Gulf Coast that you will find over 70 tattoo artists gathered to bring the ink to life just for you.
The 4th Annual Inktoberfest will be on October 17th-19th at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum and Convention Center. Artists from all over the globe will be on hand to show off their talents and vendors will line the floor with tons of products for you to peruse and buy. From jewelry and clothes to paintings and sculptures, this year’s convention has it all.
Adrenaline Tattoo would like to announce that they have partnered with “Fear Fete” Horror Movie Festival and Comic Con to bring you this weekend full of thrills for all ages. Where you can also meet more of your favorite horror stars and enjoy your favorite comics craze.
There will be live tattooing, side show acts, art fusion and tons of fun. Check out the website at http://www.inktoberfest.com or email inktoberfest4@gmail.com for a list of activities and sponsors. You can learn more about Fear Fete via Facebook.
The Friday event will begin at noon and run through midnight. Saturday’s hours are 11 a.m. til midnight and Sunday is an 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. showing.
Aaron says that this event was born out of a pure lack of interesting and new things to do on the coast after Katrina hit. “We will have approximately 70 vendor booths, DJ’s, bands and even a 1940’s-1950’s pin-up girl contest. This is the first event of this kind in Mississippi history. The art community here is great!”
This is definitely something new and fresh to do on a weekend and intertwined in the color and spectacle of it all are valuable lessons to be learned. One thing that Aaron and his crew want to show the public, and artists that are just beginning to get into the world of ink, is that there are some very important hygiene and safety issues that must be addressed with every tattoo.
“We want to educate the community on health, sanitation, sterilization and cleanliness so they will all be safe,” Aaron said.
There will also be a tattoo contest every day of the event. A body suspension show will amaze the crowds. Festival goers can join in more fun at the Friday Night “After Party” at Kress Live and Saturday night around 11 p.m. when the party moves from the coliseum to the beach for a rousing good time at the Bonfire/Beach Bash with DJ Jimmy South and the Adrenaline Tattoo crew.
