American Girl Fashion Show at Lynn Meadows Discovery Center

American Girl is coming to the Coast! What a rare opportunity for girls in South Mississippi. American Girl dolls are the unique creations that allow young ladies to choose a forever friend that’s just like them! From hair color and length to skin tone and eye color, the choices are endless for those who want a customized version of an American Girl to call their own. You can even get a doll that has freckles or a “Bittie Baby” so your doll can have a sibling or two!
If you know a little girl that has one of these beautiful, special dolls, you already know how precious they are to the child. These dolls come with a history and a story all their own. At the fashion show, girls can have their dolls hair professionally styled and they can choose new wardrobe items as well as very special souvenirs for their dolls.
Over 120 guest child models from all along the Coast and throughout the state of Mississippi will walk the runway with their dolls as they present historical and contemporary fashions that American Girl has to offer. There will be live commentary, music, refreshments, party favors, a raffle and beautiful door prize packages. There is even a fashion show segment featuring dolls and attire designed for the youngest fans.
American Girl Fashion show events are held in conjunction with non-profit organizations to raise funds for children’s charities. You will see outfits available for purchase for your little angels that actually match the dolls attire! Parents will have the opportunity to speak with representatives that can answer all your American Girl Doll questions.
Lynn Meadows Discovery Center has teamed up with the famous doll manufacturing company to bring the FUNdraiser fashion show to the coast for the first time. Girls ages 6 and up, can bring their American Girl dolls and have a tea party at either 10 a.m. or 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 18th or noon or 4 p.m. on Sunday the 19th. There is also a fabulous “Breakfast for Dinner PJ Party” that they can attend at 6 p.m. on Saturday the 18th.
Tickets for a tea party and fashion show will be $30 for members of LMDC and $35 for non-members. The fee for the Breakfast for Dinner PJ Party is $40 for members of LMDC and $45 for non-members.
Proceeds will benefit the Lynn Meadows Discovery Center and help support programming for both the museum and the WINGS Performing Arts program.
